What we do

Our team can help realize the vision of the grant, build capacity, and develop sustainable structures. We will coach lead organizers and Principal Investigators through successful grant management including evaluating and reporting.

How we serve

We collaborate with you to:

  • Understand your needs, priorities and challenges

  • Understand actions taken to this point and progress toward achieving goals

  • Design a process that meets you where you are, where you want to be and how we can apply our expertise

  • Provide infrastructure and technical support to Executive Directors, lead organizers and Principal Investigators

  • Understand how trauma and oppression shows up in the grants management process

  • Provide accessible strategies to translate grants as systems in order to interrupt oppression and trauma, and better serve leaders and the communities they serve

  • Provide structure and training for facilitation and space holding for the communities these projects aim to serve.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of training and management strategies to continue the project beyond the life of the grant

  • Coach key personnel through successful grant management including reporting

  • Create a development and action plan

Our customized coaching support is all about getting high impact results that align with the organization's vision and strategies as well as, the goals of the grant(s) they oversee.

Working with Aida Martinez-Freeman has been wonderful and a healing process in and of itself. She validated me and my voice throughout this whole process, and helped to demystify the funding process. I also gained a better understanding on how to utilize funders language to help them understand who we are and what we do, how to be a liaison and translator between our community and the funding world, and not to underestimate the role we play within our organizations as well. Thank you so much Aida for your work, emotional labor, and genuine support of my work throughout this process.
